What is a BAS?

The word BAS stands for Business Activity Statement and if you run a business, in most cases you will need to lodge one at least once a quarter if not monthly. A BAS reports sales and purchases and the GST that is applicable to the transactions.

If you have employees, their wage and PAYG information is also reported in your BAS.
